It is with a heavy heart that I inform the club that member Robin Gunter passed away this morning after battling health issues for several months. Robin was a great member, she was always first in line to help the club with any of our activities, she will be dearly missed. Please say a prayer for her, and keep her husband Richard and the rest of her family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. We will let everyone know about the service when we find out.

I just talked to the family of Robin Gunter.  Please keep all of them in your thoughts
and prayers as Robin is in very critical condition  She is in the Hospice unit at St. Francis hospital.
She has been dealing with several issues in the last few weeks and things are not going well.
Of course with COVID19 - no one is permitted in the unit to see her except immediate family and
Richard is not taking calls at this time.
The family does appreciate all your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time and I will keep you
updated on her condition.   Thank you for thinking of them!

This is a message we were hoping we would not have to send out. We are cancelling the MOS Rod Run for this year. We really want to put the show on, but we had problems with location, and with the virus starting to shut things down again and with the mass gathering limits, we decided the reward of having the show, was not worth the risk of what it might cause. Now if by some miracle things improve greatly in the fall, then we could look at rescheduling the show later, but at this point we do not see that happening. For now we will set our sights on next year and hope to see you all then. For those of you that have already mailed in their preregistration, we will be sending your payment back to you. Sincerely MOS ROD RUN Committee.

Annoucement
Recieved the following not for any of you interested.

Fellow SCKMC members,

I have some good news to announce. We are on our way to having our planned 27th Annual Mustang Car Show!!!
I have signed the contract with the County and we will have the same field area as last year. As of now we will not have the enclosed shelter. (Another story for another time.) Due to everything going on in the world we will have a modified show this year. I will outline what we will be doing below and also what I will need help with.
I will not be able to always reply back immediately due to what’s going on right now my work has taken over 50% of each day and I will  not have a day off till after our show so I am very busy right now.

The show will be on 6/13 at the Sedgwick County Park, East side of the large field.
Hours are 8am-4pm and everyone gone!
No awards, no judging. Bragging rights are based on how good of a story teller you are.
FREE! No entry forms, no goodie bags. No Shirts.
This is a “show and shine” type of format, also come and go as you please.
As always All Fords are welcome and I hope the Fairlanes can have their mini meet too!
Parking will be assisted by Club members starting at 8 am will be cut off when the masses stop rolling in. After that it will be parking on your own. But following the rules.
We will maintain at least 10’ from each vehicle.
Due to Covid-19 we will adhere to the new Social Distancing standards are all times! Masks are suggested but not required. If you feel you are at risk please do not come to the show. Your health is more important to me than this show!!!

REQUEST FOR SUPPORT

I received a phone call and the info below for a request to support the Family Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wichita. If any club member is available and interested please contact Demetra at her number below. This is a worthwhile event so if you can, give her a call. It is not known yet what restrictions we may be under due to the Pandemic, but hopefully by this time we will be getting back to normal. I believe the facility is located at 639 S Maize Ct in Wichita, so hopefully some members in NW Wichita can help her out.

Hello Marauders!
I hope this announcement finds all of you safe, healthy and staying at home if you can.  We
look forward to seeing all of you when the time is right!
A couple of announcements:
*Per Royce Taylor - president of the Wichita Area Council of Car Clubs - the 2020 Lake Afton Car Show
scheduled for June 14, has been CANCELED.  Not knowing what things will look like in the next few weeks
until the show, they thought it was in the best interest of everyone to cancel for this year and look forward
to next year's show on June 13, 2021!
*Per Ron Wagoner - he informed me that the Cruise-Ins at Central and West have
been discontinued.  This was a decision made by new management of the property and not just temporarily because
of Covid19 and the stay at home order.  We have been cruisin there for several years and I know the car community
will miss this weekly get together.  Ron appreciates everyone attending these cruises and if anything changes in the
future, he will let us know.
Everyone take care of yourselves and one another, be safe and stay healthy.
Cheryl
