Good Morning Marauders,
Wanted to let you know that the RiverFest Car Show still has about a dozen spaces left for the upcoming
River Festival event.
The show is no longer Blacktop Nationals - and ALL cars are going to be inside Century II where it will be
clean, cool and we can stanchion off our vehicles.
I have entered our car and I know the Gunters have entered two cars - it would be fun to have a few more
join us.  I think if some others want to attend, I can contact Sam Hale or the Festival office so we can park
together.  Another great opportunity to remind the community who we are as we continue to celebrate our
60th Anniversary as a club and to help Sam Hale with this show.   He has attended our shows and had a River Fest
booth this year.  Entry is on Thursday June 7 anytime between noon and 10PM and the show is Friday and Saturday.  We can leave our cars at CII until early Sunday morning to keep from taking them out on Saturday night.
IF you are interested and want to enter, please let me know & I will add you to our list.   For complete details on
entering the show, please contact:
Meghan doyle | community engagement director | Wichita Festivals, Inc. | meghan@wichitafestivals.com
444 E William | Wichita KS | 67202 | t 316.267.2817 ext 26 | f 316.267.5901
Thank you Marauders for your consideration of this event.
Have a great week,
Cheryl

Let's try it again...............got too excited to send our this note!
CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT 20TH SHOWDOWN IN THE VALLEY in spite of a much
needed rain - thankful for the moisture but we all wish it could have waited a day or so - but we
cannot control any of that & have to do the best we can - which is exactly what we did.
We cannot begin to thank each & every one of you for all you have done to make this
show another huge sucess & be able to help our wonderful charities and spread goodwill
to so many people including the entire car community and others.
What an impressive group of "orange" shirts we saw helping and mingling with vendors,
participants, spectators & our wonderful host the Kansas Star Casino!   We could never do
this without them !   AND - we could not do it without each one of you....thanks to the officers,
the team captains and their individual teams and every member who stepped up to do whatever
it took to get this event accomplished.   And thanks to Steve Nichols who's leadership goes beyond
measure - we appreciate all of you & what you do does NOT go unnoticed.
We had a glitch or two - but remember no great event goes without an issue or two but our Goal & Mission
is to keep going and learn from these things so the next show can be bigger & better.
I know some of us visited with every single vendor and participant - and we want to hear from you as to what you
heard - good, bad, indifferent or whatever the comment might have been.  AND, we want to hear your thoughts too.
The only way to get better is through these conversations - we learn from what worked great & those things that
weren't as great.
We will have a follow-up/wrap-up meeting or two and lay the groud work for Showdown #21 next year.  And Steve
will give a report on the financials.
For now - THANK YOU FOR A GREAT EVENT & representing our club so well and helping kids, families and
Veterans in our community and state.
I am thankful to be part of such a generous and wonderful club.
Blessings to all of you,
Cheryl

Remember the meeting tonight 6:30, south end of arena. K-53 is one lane from Mulvane city limits to the Belle Plaine road then it goes back to two lanes till you get to the turnpike then it’s one lane again to US-81, it’s not terrible but we recommend you come down US-81 or take the turnpike or allow an extra 10-15 minutes using K-53.
