NEW BUSINESS
~SHOWDOWN IN THE VALLEY #19 UPDATE:
~Showdown is scheduled for Saturday, 6/17/17 at the Kansas Star Casino with move in for all vendors and inside cars on Friday, 6/16/17.
~WE ARE ON THE FOR ANOTHER GREAT CAR SHOW - ARE YOU READY TO HELP???????

~The Kansas Star Casino is running radio & TV ads for the show per Sonya Jackson. Check 'em out - they are great!
~If any of you have friends or business associates that would consider a sponsorship donation, please visit with Steve Nichols and he can provide a list of the sponsorship levels.  Any level sponsorship would be great & if you don't want to visit with the contact, let us know and Steve will make the contact.
~It was discussed and agreed that after what we pay the school for the materials for the trophies we will once again do something special for the class.  Last year we purchased 4 grinders for them - Steve will visit with the teacher to see what they could use.
~REMEMBER - NO MARAUDERS ARE ELIGILBE FOR THE SHOW/AWARDS - AS USUAL ALL CLUB MEMBERS CAN PARK IN THE ENCLOSED AREA AT THE SOUTH END OF THE ARENA.
~The raffle part of the show will help raise revenue and be in place of the traditional door prizes.  It is harder and harder to get donations for door prizes.  Each participant will be issued a ticket for some of the prizes - and only participants will be eligible for those.   Then some of the prizes will be available for participants and spectators to purchase to increase revenues.
~The door prize folks from last year will man the 'alternate' give aways for this year.
~If you would still like to sponsor a trophy or be a t-shirt sponsor - please contact Steve Nichols ASAP.
~If you know of someone who might consider helping the show and you would like for the officers to visit with them, please let us know ASAP!!   Be thinking about this folks - there are a lot of us who know a lot of people who would be willing to help or donate to this great charity show.

"ON THE LIGHT SIDE smiley
*A pastor was famous for his sermons lasting exactly 22 minutes.  Then, one unfortunate Sunday, the sermon went on for 45 minutes.
At dinner, his wife asked what had gone wrong.
"It was just one of those things," the pastor replied moodily.  "My trick is to slide a cough drop under my tongue just before I start the sermon.  It always melts in exactly 22 minutes, and that way I know when it's time to stop preaching.  This morning I was over 40 minutes in before I realized my cough drop was really a suspender button."

*A baby sardine saw its first submarine and went swimming in terror to its mother.
"Don't be frightened," she reassured him.  "It's only a can of people!!"

*QUOTE OF THE DAY - Common sense is like deodorant - the people who need it the most never use it!!!!

*Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes!   Jim Carrey
