NEW /OLD BUSINESS & MEMBER DISCUSSION:
~
Jack reminded members about the car show in Gypsum, KS (SE of Salina) Sunday, 5/24/15.  It is a free show and lots of fun.  A group will be gathering at 7:30AM to travel to the show together.
~Cheryl announced the River Fest Cruise to be held Sunday, 5/31/15.  This is a cruise/poker run - please see the website for details as this show starts at the Dillons in Andover and will cruise to Rose Hill, Mulvane, Derby and then to downtown Wichita to the Festival for the remainder of the show.  Times and entry is included on the events page.
~Oxford Senior Living is requesting a few cars for a family event they are doing on Friday, 6/19/15 from 6:00 - 7:30PM. This event is also on the webpage.  This is move in night for the Marauders show which could be difficult for our members.
~Jack announced that his friend with Roy Boy Productions will have a booth at the car show along with "pin up girls".
~Max reminded members about the Mulvane July 4th parade at noon.  This is a great way for the club to remind the city of Mulvane that we are still committed to them and the community - and help a Veteran celebrate.  If you are going to participate, they are asking that you allow a Veteran to ride in your car.  They will be lining up at the Middle School.
~There was a nice article in the Derby Informer newspaper about our upcoming show.   Thanks to the paper and Kevin's great comments to advertise the show.
~Cheryl and Max took orders from members for the event shirt. Member price is only $7.50.
~Be sure and check the club events section of the website for upcoming events.  If you want an event added, please contact Cheryl.

ON THE LIGHT SIDE smiley
*My wife and I went into town and visited a shop.  When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.  We went up to him and I said, "Come on man, how about giving a  senior citizen a break?"  He just ignored us and continued writing the ticket.
I called him an _ _ _hole. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires.  We just laughed.
So my wife called him an even worse name, and as soon as he finished writing the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first, He started writing more tickets.
This went on for about 20 minutes.  The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.  He finally finished, sneered at us and walked away.  Just then our arrived and we got on it and went home.
We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired - it's so important at our age!!!!!    hahahaha
