I received the following note, if anyone can help her out, that would be great!!

My name is Jamie Sigars.  Your name was passed to me by Mel Boling.  I work with his step daughter Vicki Smith.  I am in search of a red and white 1956 or 57  Chevy Bel Air that I can hire to drive my daughter and her new husband from their wedding reception to their hotel.

My daughter is Paige-Myranda Leann Sigars.  She is a Mulvane High School graduate and a WSU graduate 2018 Summa Cum-Laude.  She works for RSM Marketing in Wichita as a Project Manager.   Her fiancé is Adam Scott Faris.  He is also a Mulvane High School graduate.  He works for Walsar Group on the Audi Campus as the Sales Manager.   Both were born and raised in Mulvane.

Their wedding is on January 11, 2020 in Valley Center, Kansas.  The reason I am trying so hard to find this vehicle is because of her grandmother.  Grandma La Verna was one of the most wonderful women and was adored by both of my daughters.  She had a long 4 year battle with cancer. It started as breast cancer and it worked its way through her lungs, bones and finally into her liver.  The final year my oldest daughter, Allanna and her husband sold their home and purchased grandma’s house and moved in with her so that they could be there to care for her 24/7  in the comfort of the home she loved.   My daughters lost her a few years ago.  La Verna loved her granddaughters, Elvis and her Chevy Bel Air.

There are so many things in this wedding that were planned with La Verna in mind.  Even if she is not there in person she most defiantly will be present in the hearts of my children.    La Verna and Grandpa Dick shared a birthday.  January 17th.  Paige and Adam share a birthday.  February 17th.   Paige thought it fitting that they get married on her grandma and grandpa’s wedding anniversary.  January 11th.   They will be walking down the aisle to Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling In Love With You.

It is my hope to provide this one last touch to their wedding for her so that she can have her grandmother with her in spirit until the very last moment.   I overheard my daughters talking about needing to book a car for the wedding and I know the original thought would be to book the normal boring limo.  Allanna jumped in and brought up Grandma’s Bel Air.  Neither of them know I am looking for one but this would be a surprise that exceeds all expectations.

Would you please pass my name and contact information along to anyone you may know that could assist me with this request.
